Would you please give consideration to upgrade your cable that goes from your battery to the Ifly (720) to allow a different power source. I've found that I get less than 3 hrs life out of the Ifly battery. I have two of the Ankar 10000ma units that I carry with me to recharge Iphones etc and power my FlightBox. It would be great to have a power cable with a usb connection on one end that could be used on any usb power source. The Ankar batteries are very favorably priced. I have the cig lighter power cord but I have found that running the Ifly from the cig lighter causes bad radio problems.

There are a lot of inexpensive USB batteries out there. The challenge issue isn't the cord, it's the voltage. A USB cable is typically 5 volts, and the iFly requires at least 12. There are some batteries out there that support 12v out, but it's been a long time since I've played with those options.

I have 3 Anker batteries. I carry two of them in my flight back as backups's for my iPad. They all have a 12v outlet in addition to two 5 volt USB plug-in's.

Walter,

crap!..... thanks for your quick response.... I didn't realize that the Ifly pulled so much voltage... it was just a thought....

the ankar batteries are so simple

Walter, how many amps does it take to run the Ifly?
