So, flying new version 9 today on Android. I noticed that the VST box is always visible now, showing me a plus number. (Not sure what it's telling me. Is it showing me a target rate of climb to clear terrain?)

When flying VFR, I would rather have the VST show only when it's time to descend to destination, as it did in v8. (I typically cruise climb at 500 ft/min VFR.)

Instead of making yet another optional setting to do this, how about simply offering two versions of VST Instruments - one called "always on" and one called "descent only." (Or something like that.)

P.S. Speaking of Instruments, could you all make it so that after we add a new Instrument, it's automatically selected? I mean, when I add a new Instrument, I almost always change its color or size. But I have to tap the new Instrument first. As it stands now, it's kind of selected, in that you can move it. But the "Toggle Size" and "Toggle Color" options are grayed out until you tap on it. Shouldn't this be automagic?

Then you just move it where you want it. Please, what's the down side to automatically selecting it to allow for color or size change if we want?
