I often input my next flight plan in my iFly (or Android device) while sitting at the departure airport. I'm always disappointed that iFly doesn't suggest to use my current location as the departure point, like my 430W in the panel does.

When I select "Clear All" to start a new plan, iFly already prompts me with a question ("Are you sure?").

What about expanding that dialog and prompt for confirmation in a slightly different way? Something like:

Would you like to start a new blank plan or with the departure point as your current location (xxxx)?

[Blank Plan] [Current Location as Departure Point] [Cancel]

Where (xxxx) is iFly's best guess at the airport you're sitting at?

This would save many button pushes, if you're doing this at your departure airport.

Alternately, it could _always_ default to pre-populating the departure point as the nearest airport if the page is cleared, or brought up when already clear. I don't think it'd be any extra button-pushes over the way it works today to change that first entry to something else.

Good ideas. If you touch Menu / Fly Direct To, we will automatically assume your current location as the departure point. It also works like this if you're touching the map and selecting "Direct To". But from the Flight Planning form, you are right, we don't assume your departure point.

Thanks for the feedback!
