Timer
Could we get an option on the flight timer to have it be a basic timer, and not based on forward speed? In a helicopter we are flying as soon as we lift up off the ground, and may spend considerable time less than 15 kts (or whatever the threshold is to start the flight timer). It would he helpful to have basic start, stop, reset options and let it run, whether the aircraft is moving or not.

Seconded. Even for keeping track of time while practicing landings, it would be nice to be able to start it and let it run. It seems like it would be pretty simple to add a few options to it.

Any chance of this ever happening? The timer is pretty much useless.

This has come up before. I think a Manual Timer Mode added to the Auto Timer Mode would be good. This would let the pilot choose the application Manual/Auto. It would also be nice to have a basic countdown timer w/ alert. Seems like a very simple enhancement. I've made sure this is on the Wish-List and bumped my recommendation for this add to Walter. Stay tuned.
