Switched to Ifly720 from the no support Lowrance 2000c. The Ifly700 is so easy to use, you don't even need the manual. However, the one feature I really miss is the "Auto Zoom." Would love to see "Auto Zoom" included in a software update!

What do you mean by "auto zoom"? How does it work on your Lowrance device?

I have the Lowrance 1000, but believe it works the same way. If you plot a course from NY to CA, the GPS initially shows the entire U.S. As you get closer to the destination it keeps your destination in the view, and magnifies the rest, so (for example) as you cross MO, you'd only see half the U.S.

As you approach your next waypoint or final destination the gps screen incrementally enlarges the displays automatically so that you do not have to, as on the Ifly 700, depress the "Zoom In or Zoom Out" icons. It simply makes the transition to the next waypoint or your final destination flow smooth.

Gotcha. My 430W does that, and I do like it on that device.

Don't think I'd use it for my iFly, but I can understand why others would. Personally, I prefer to keep a constant zoom level where I can read the chart details.
