I took my best guess and ordered the sheets for the 695/696 because they both have 7 screens (on paper anyway). As I was placing the order it showed the 695 screen/protectors as 7.2. Anyone have any more info on what I should expect when I get the GPS and screen sheets together, and if someone ordered for something else, what was it?

Actually, I sent them the dimensions of the iFly and the they responded that its screen is exactly the same dimensions as the Amtek UMPC 7". Hopefully the 695/696 have the same dimensions.

I've ordered the Amtek screen shield. It shipped yesterday and should be here in a couple of days. I'll let everyone know how it fits.

I got the Day View NuShield for the Amtek UMPC 7" today. Yup, it's the correct size. Goes on really easily. I haven't taken it out flying yet, we're in IMC right now. but with it inside it does look like it cuts down on the reflectivity. I'll keep everyone informed.

Lawrence, Thanks for the info on the Amtek protectors fitting our GPS units, it saved me the work of cutting it to fit. NuShield's customer service was closed by the time I read your post but I sent them an e-mail hoping someone would get it early enough to make a substitution if it hadn't been shipped already. They sent a reply early this AM saying they were able to grab my package just before it went out and would make the substitution. Even though they both have the same size screen (on paper anyway), t`he 695/696 must not be a perfect fit for the 700. (My order summary said the protector they were sending for the Garmin unit was 7.2 inches)`

Sun Shade Update

I went out and flew for an hour today. The NuShield does help with the glare, but it's not perfect. Is it worth the money? I'd say yes, if for no other reason than to have the screen protected. The iFly still needs an actual sun shade. I don't think much is going to help with sun washout.

For those of you interested in ordering the NuShield, until they get the iFly listed on their site just order the Amtek UMPC 7" dayshield. It has the same dimension screen as the iFly.
