ADS B on the iFly is a good thing. One thing I hope to see added is altitude and speed posted near traffic ( similar to wingx on iPad.) It helps to determine if it may be a Cub or a Jet closing in , allowing ample time for evasive action.

You Guys have a great product and it continues to improve ,setting to bar higher at a reasonable cost.

Thanks, T Wms.

Twms,

Yes, I was just talking with Walter about this as I have been doing some testing on the iLevil and other ADS-B receivers. Having that Altitude and Speed is a very helpful tool. I've added this to our wishlist of features. Thanks for the great feedback and please keep it coming. Have a great week.

Hey Shane - has there been any discussion on a traffic specific page or popup? I mentioned this awhile back but I don't think there was any reply.

The concept was to have a simple black background with perhaps range circles that would automatically come up if traffic was with a certain range and had the potential to be a conflict. This would make seeing critical target info much easier and aid in pilot recognition. Seeing traffic on a sectional can sometimes be iffy with all of the background info.

I invision a black square that pops up centered on top of whatever page you are viewing. It could be user defined as to threat level and time to keep the popup active...or not at all. Maybe even take advantage of a future back button.

Thanks!

Dave

Dave,

Yes, we've had some internal discussion on ways to make the traffic more visible, especially on a sectional, including adding the Target Altitude and Speed. Possible revising the colors as well. I've passed this along to Walter too. Bendix King did something similar when a Zaon was connected. Maybe popping it in a Instrument like the HSI style gauge, so pilots could define if and where they want it. Just a thought.

Perhaps a traffic gauge will work but it might be too small or too obtrusive to leave up. My 530 uses the popup method when a threat reaches a certain level. It works very well to get your attention. When the threat is no longer, it returns to whatever page you were on. They have a couple of ways to manually return to navigation but a simple back button anywhere in the popup would work perfectly.

Thanks!
