Greetings everyone,
Version 4 development is going well. Below is a list of our planned features for this version. We are targeting early August to have this release finished and ready for you to download.
Ability to toggle between North-Up and Track-Up
A new button on the map will toggle the maps between North Up or Track Up. When in Track Up mode the map will be rotated so that the airplane is always flying "Up".
New instruments that show name of waypoint and final destination
This will be useful to ensure you are targeting the desired waypoint
Ability to "Lock" / "Unlock" the course line
Locking the course line will prevent accidental changes to the flight plan.
On Airport Information page, will add lat/lon in Degrees-Minutes-Seconds format
Current decimal degrees and DMS formats will both be shown on this page
Ability to toggle between Magnetic / True bearings
Currently all bearings and course indicators show degrees relative to True north, a new setting will allow you to change this to Magnetic North.
Ability to import GPX files
This will allow flight plans to be built by 3rd party utilities and imported to the iFly 700. (Presuming the 3rd party utility can export a flight plan using the GPS format)
Configurable Fading Buttons
Ability to configure if the map buttons fade a lot, a little, or not at all.
Terminal Area Charts
Support for TAC charts is being added, a new mode will be available under the "MODE" button that allows you to select Terminal Area Charts.
