While enroute on an IFR flight plan, I find it awkward to initially get to the approach plates for my destination. Can this be streamlined somehow? Additionally, enroute it would be helpful if the VOR frequency would show up on the flightplan screen along with the morse code identifier. I just finished a long cross country into unknown territory and these suggestions would be very helpful to me. Thank you, Tom

I like the suggestions about the VOR and identifier.

Just wondering if the History button could help you with the approach plates at the destination? Before you take off, pull up the information about the destination airport. In flight, you could use the history button on the main screen to go back to the destination airport information and then show the airport information which has a pull down to select the instrument approach you want. You can also access those approach charts with the history button.

I know what you are talkinf about, the same goes for the STARs. You can access them ahead of time and then just access the "history"

Does anybody know if/when the approach plates will be geo-referened? Often Center or Approach will amend your clearance and ask you to fly to another interestcion for the approach. Instead of keying in the interestection and trying to figure where in sequence it should be added in your flight plan, it would be easier to fly the approch right on the approach plate.

Hi Don,

I hope to have this done next year sometime, but cannot commit to a particular deadline. If the FAA creates and provides the data (they are working on this), we will be able to add the feature for no additional cost. If they don't, or are tending to a lengthy delay, we will purchase the data from a 3rd party and make it available for an additional TBD annual fee.

Thanks,
Walter
