Overlays

I am probably the only one who will ask for this feature. We fly photo and other survey missions. It would be nice if we could import an overlay (kml polygon) and that be drawn on top of whatever chart we have loaded at the time. You already allow gpx import as waypoints, this would be something similar, but they wouldn't be waypoints, just an overlay (similar to how a tfr might be drawn in vector mode)

I don't get what my signature is supposed to mean, I'm not famous, I'm not a star and we certainly aren't married.

Noted on the wishlist. We do have a feature similar to this on our wishlist. User imported "Shape Files". Basically think. I want to import my own "Acro Box" or "Search Area", etc. Something like even to create an area of points and "Fill with color". Thanks for the request.

This overlay request seems somewhat related to prior requests for plotting search patterns for Civil Air Patrol Search and Rescue missions. As a CAP member, I request that this capability be developed too.
