I don't know if we can see them (or turn them on/off) on our VFR-only sectionals, but I'd love to be able to see the VFR corridors through Class B airspaces, for example. Can we do that now, mabye with the corridor shown in a different color (includine altitudes in a 3D view?) (Those corridors have a name of their own but I can't think of it at the moment.)

Are you talking about something unique to your region?

There's an airspace feature in my neighborhood that ATC and pilots routinely call "The VFR Corridor" or "The Corridor". It's between two Class B surface volumes and below the 2000' shelf that overlaps between the two B's. It doesn't have any other name than that, and is already pretty clearly represented on the sectional and vector maps. Since it's a 3D volume, I think it would be difficult to further highlight it without introducing potential confusion.

Could you be more specific? Maybe sketch up a drawing?

Here's what my "corridor" looks like:

The VFR corridors/flyways are printed on the back of certain TAC's.

EDIT:

They can be downloaded here:

I think I know what you're asking for, and AFAIK, iFly doesn't do it. Nor do I see how it could. (Someone would have to hand draw the corridors in for the Vector map.)

Here in the Phx Class B I can pull up the TAC on iFly and I can go to Legends and see the flip side of the chart that shows VFR transition routes. However, they're not part of a moving map, which is what I think you want.

But some of that is mitigated - at least on the Phx TAC - because the TAC chart itself has the same Magenta arrows drawn on it with VFR checkpoints.

But, I guess the question is...if someone can turn a sectional chart into a moving map, why couldn't they turn the back side into a moving map? I'm sure they could if there was enough demand for it, which I doubt there is.
