I was practicing some Approaches this morning. I had planned ahead and had pinned the two Plates I would need, the PRC ILS 21 and the PRC VOR 12. (See screen shot.)

In the screen shot, you can see that there's some redundancy, in that the Approaches I pinned appear again in the list of recent Plates. (i.e., a History.)

Even if I clear the History, so that only my two pinned Plates are showing, as soon as I view one of them, it reappears on the list again, kinda cluttering up my pretty preplanned two item list. (This while I am frantically transitioning from the ILS to the VOR Approach in flight. (The Glasair is roll neutral and gets away from us easily.))

I realize that the the Plates I pinned are in color and at the top. Still, it would declutter things and make choices easier if redundant Plates were hidden. If Hiding isn't a good option, then perhaps gray them out? (Not sure what should happen if the user unpins a chart. Should it stay hidden in the History list or reappear?)

I've added this to the bug list. It's easy to do, and clearly should be done. We shouldn't be showing the same item in the same list more than once. And yes, if you unpin it, then it'll appear in the History; so in effect, we'll just be hiding plates from this history which are pinned.
