Thank you Shane, as you just showed you guys are ahead of us, at least most of the time, I am still waiting for the ability of rubber banding the vertical profile, but I can live without It

Ciao,

If you want to rubber-band the Vertical Flight Planning, you should love the beta 9.4. Try this... Build a flight, then touch Flight Plan, More Options, then Altitude Planning.
Now, you can touch the VP and add waypoints, even drag the route altitude up and down. There is even an Optimize that will take WiFi downloaded Hi-Res winds info into account for the flight. Give it a try. It's in Beta for iFly and Android now, however IOS is coming soon.
Ask and you shall receive... sometimes. We've been working on this one. Great timing to ask for it.

Hi! Shane, Question, the example you give "UTC-5" would also be corrected for daylight saving time, It would always be "Current Time-5" right?

Correct, the scenario I was referencing would have the Local Time and the UTC-5. Like the picture below... I hope this did not create any confusion.

Shane/Brian - I got to thinking about what I said the other day. (Yes, I often speak before thinking and it most often gets me into trouble.) Anyway, about my not knowing which state I've just landed in.... Is there any way that you could make an instrument or some type of information box that could tell me where I am? I'm thinking a box that would have: airport name, closest town name, state, local time (noting standard or DST), UTC, and anything else that might be of interest to the visiting pilot at that airport. The airport information function in iFly GPS is great. I'm talking about non-aviation information, like which CCW permits are recognized in the present state. Thanks, Jim Williams
