Here's the idea: Could we add a "waypoint" that would sound an alert tone or message that would be user defined. We're traveling from Utah back east in a few days. It seems that a large number of MOA's and Restricted areas are directly in our flight path and we'd like to have a pop-up audible reminder to make sure we have cleared our way through said areas before we get there and go "oops"...

Yes we use flight following, but that isn't a sure thing so we'd rather have a better method of making sure that we don't inadvertently fly into a high use training area without calling for clearance/activity.

We're using iFly on our Android and couldn't be happier with the interface and user friendliness!

Not being smart, but doesn't looking at the map give you the warning you need?

Doesn't iFly already have a SUA Warning feature that brings up a blue Warning button for various airpaces, depending on how you set it? (My proposed new idea is to bring up the QV box with the Airspace tab highlighted in place of the textual button.)

Yes, we have SUA warnings that show as a button or message on screen. The Message will tell you the floor and ceiling of the airspace. They can be set in terms of alert type and alerting sensitivity.

However, If anything, an already aware pilot in command is getting to many pop up alerts. I like the idea of an airspace or SUA alert poping the QV, but I think that would have to be an option. That way if it is a class D, etc, you simple tap the APT option for the CT freq. It could even by used for Traffic, Obstructions, etc.

We'll have to look closely at this as we are deep into the app UI and major changes throw curve balls to thousands of current users and it has to be well worth the impact, but I personally like it.

Oh, yes, definitely an option, like the Blue button is already. Were I the boss, I would simply replace the Blue Button with the QV popping up with the airspace tab clicked. That draws a blue outline around the offending airspace. I suppose, as you propose, that there would have to be more granularity about when the QV pops up. For example, I don't want it popping up for Class D. But I do want it popping up for Restricted, Prohibited areas when I'm too close. If too hard to make a page of granularity, then perhaps the QV pops up only for airspaces that don't have a shade or outline set? For example, I set Restricted and Prohibited airspace to shade. I set MOA's to outline. But I don't do anything with Class D. Frankly, I don't need a pop up to tell me I'm about to fly into an MOA (we've been flying in MOA's in Arizona for 21 years without problems), bu tI suppose it couldn't hurt to get a QV pop up just as I enter the MOA just to help put me on higher alert.
