I just got my unit and it looks fantastic and does pretty much what I want and need but I've got a question about the flight duration timer. Not sure if I've missed something or whether this is how it works normally. I've noticed that each time you stop the aircraft the flight duration timer resets. Start up at the hanger, get the unit booted up and start rolling toward the runway. When you stop at any intersection the timer resets, when you stop at the end of the taxiway or runway for the runup the timer resets. It would be nice if there was some way to manually start and stop the timer. Its in a very convienient location to be used as a flight timer and for logging time on the flight there is no FAA requirement for the wheels to be off the ground so a non-self resetting timer would be nice. I realize that there should be some reliable timer for keeping track of flight time and there is a clock on the unit, we can use the tach or hourmeter but the timer on the unit could be very useable if it didn't reset at each stop.

Thanks

Frank

Its a 1950 14-19 Cruisemaster and was my first 4 seater. Other than the AD on the prop and tough to find engine parts it was a fantastic plane. Very nice to fly, easy to land with good slow speed handling and a pretty reasonable cruise speed on low fuel burn. Only complaint was the wood wing. Plenty strong but living in New Mexico at the time tended to dry it out and cause shrinkage where bolts when through....a trip to kommiefornia would swell things after a week or so near the coast it seemed.....it got sold to a friend who has the same plane 6 serial numbers newer. He figured it might be good for parts since it needed recovering.

Frank Hatten in Indiana who also has some time in Citabria's and a Decathalon.

The flight timer does automatically start when rolling, and it stops when you stop. Many folks are requesting some better timer solutions, so this is on the short list for a future release.

Thanks,

I see it didn't make version 5.07 . Still gotta be mighty quick to see the timer before it zero's as you turn off the runway....any chance of it making the next update?

Thanks
