Alert ?

I was flying with my sunglasses when some sort of an alert appeared in the lower left of the screen on my 740. I dropped my readers trying to put them on. :-(

What sort of a blue colored alert would appear in the lower left corner of my 740? (I ordered some stick on readers for my sungtlasses) :-)
