520

I presently am using the Ifly 700 with a direct (USB) hookup to my Sky Radar. The 520 looks interesting as I fly a Champ with limited panel space. If I were to sell my 700 and buy a 520 will it be possible to hook up to the Sky Radar and would it use the same external antenna hook up?

Thanks

Mike

We are working on adding wired support for some ADSB receivers for the 520. More to come on this too...

Thanks! Nothing wrong with the 700 either for my use other than it covers a lot of panel space on the Champ and it's not really 'sun light readable' even with the hood.

Looking at the 520, I think if it came out 2 years ago I would have snapped it up. I was looking for a replacement for my Airmap 1000. A hangar neighbor sold me his iFly 700. It was a bit big mounted on the yoke in the Landscape mode, but it seemed to be the best buy at the time. About a year ago I upgraded to the 720 and with Portrait mode, I could not be happier. I move my 720 between my two airplanes. In the portrait mode it works well in both planes. If it did not require to upgrade two devices all the time (and the cost of two subscriptions), I would purchase the 520 for my Grumman Yankee, leaving the 720 in my C-182. But it works well moving the 720 since the two planes are in adjacent hangers. If I owned a no-electrical A/C like a Champ, this would be a no brainer.

Rich,

Thanks for the feedback. Multi-unit subscriptions is definately something we are looking into. Give me a call and I might have some details or options, especially if you are looking to add an iFly 520.
