First, let me say that the iFly 700 is an outstanding product; for the price, including subscription costs, this device is a great value. Not sure how we found our way without it all these years!
Anyway, I have the external battery pack, which has been helpful to ensure continuous power to the iFly since the power socket in the plane is not always reliable, especially when hitting any turbulence.
The other day, however, I noticed, when connecting the battery pack to the iFly using the USB to socket cable, the socket connector that connects to the iFly seemed loose. When operating the iFly using the battery pack, the power sometimes cycles when the connector is jostled. The power connector that connects directly to either the AC outlet or the DC power outlet fits nice and tight and works fine, so I am pretty sure it is the USB to socket cable. The cable works ok as long as it is secured in place while plugged into the iFly.
Any suggestions? If possible, I would be willing to purchase another USB to socket connector for use with the battery pack, but did not see that available in the store.
Thanks!
Brian
