I recently acquired a plane with a ifly 700 on the panel. The latest update card is dated 2015. The plane is equipped with a  UAVIONIX sky beacon adsb out. Is the UAvionix adsb traffic in module compatible with the ifly 700 with a 2015 update or do I need to upgrade the software or get a 740?

Thanks,

Bayne

The old 700 does not have WiFi capability, therefore does not have a way to communicate with an ads-b in. Just go with a 740; you'll be pleased.
Or, as an alternative you can display traffic on the IFly app on an iPad.

iFly runs on iPads, Android tablets, and Windows devices, in addition to the iFly-specific devices like the 700 and the 740.

I'm not familiar with the uAvionix line of products, but from your original post it sounds like maybe your current uAvionix product only supports ADSB-out and you're considering a new ADSB-in device that includes traffic.  If you're buying a new ADSB-in device, there are many to choose from that are iFly-compatible.  Make sure you choose one that provides full ADSB-in support of both traffic and weather (most do, but I think there are some uAvionix devices that only support traffic).
