Repeatedly getting the following error message on my 740B shortly after takeoff and reappearing immediately after efforts to close the error dialogue box:

"Windows CE Networking

The system has detected a conflict for statically assigned IP address 192.168.4.100 and with the system having hardware address 9C:4F:DA:9D:3D:C4.

The local interface has been disabled."

I use an ECHO UAT ADSB in-out.

Questions:

1. Are other 740B users having this problem?

2. Any known solutions?

3. What functions are lost by "the local interface being disabled"?

4. Would the same issue occur if I switched to using the app on my iPhone or iPad?

Thanks

It s some sort of compatibility issue between some iFlys and some Echos.  It is usually benign, if you hit OK it should reconnect to the echo and keep working. This doesn't happen for all users, and we've been unable to duplicate it in the office, so really not sure what is causing this.  It doesn't seem to happen with a tablet or phone connected to the device.

This happened to me yesterday. It happened just as I was approaching the airport & I didn't have time to do much with it at the time, but I couldn't get the text box covering the middle of the screen to go away. I still couldn't get it to go away after I was parked. I shut it down & it came up running. I wasn't sure what was going on so I requested a PAPR report for the flight and it came back w/no exceptions. I've decided to just try it again to see what happens. I just thought I'd report it. I must have missed or dismissed this report last year when it came up. Bob

If at all possible, could to make sure ADSB logging is enabled?

menu/setup/adsb/enable adsb logging.

That way, if it happens again, we might have a log of what exactly is happening.

I just enabled it. Sorry it wasn't already. I'll let you know if it happens again. Bob
