Has anyone had sucess in getting an iFly-740 to talk to anJPI EDM-830?

I've never heard anyone suggest such a thing before.

What, exactly, would you expect (or desire) to be communicated? And how would you establish the interface between the two devices?

The EDM-830 can receive nav info from a GPS to determine location, groundspeed, andfuel remaing at your destination - it did from my old Apollo that I had removed. It was hard wired from the Apollo to the EDM. We tried a direct output using the iFly USB but tthe EDM-830 is not seeing it.

Hm. To me, those seem like strange features for an "engine monitor" to perform, but okay.

My panel-mounted GPS performs those functions based on the fuel flow provided by my engine monitor, but my engine monitor does not perform those functions based on data from the GPS.

The EDM-830 is a pretty neat gadget that provides a lot of info in a compact package. Obviously it is pretty simple to calculate my fuel remaining at my destination since I get the fuel flow from the 830 and time remaining from my iFly. I just like having all the features available if I can. I have to admit that I'm surprised that more iFly users don't have the EDM-830.
