Q for the group concerning shutting down the STRATUX ADSB-IN using the Ifly exit command.

Is there a way to check to see if this command actually worked by looking at the STRATUX BOX?

What lights should I be seeing on/off after activating the "SHUTDOWN STRATUX" command?

Will I just see a RED light? Or perhaps just a GREEN one?  Just curious as I want to ensure it is really shut down so I do not corrupt it again like I did before.

Thank you Gents.

Although I haven't used the iFly to shut the stratux down yet, I use my iPhone with the Stratux app, as I recall that when I command the shutdown, a red light comes on near where the green power light is.  I seem to remember that both red and green stay on, but I'm not positive.  I generally wait two or three seconds, and note that the Stratux app indicates that it's no longer connected to the Stratux.

Mike,

When you send the shutdown command from within iFly, the green status light on the Stratux will start to flash 10 times, and then will return to solid when it's ready to be powered down.

This is an interesting discussion, but I have never shut down the Stratux other then turning off the avionics master switch which powers the IFly 740 and Stratux. I have never had any corruption or bad files in two years of using the Stratux. I wasn't even aware there is a Stratux shutdown switch/button in the IFly 740. I built my Stratux from a kit supplied by Steve Sockel/Flight Box Solutions.

I haven't either, but it happens.
