Jon, I appreciate these details. We have an HSI feature on the books for a future release, which should address your request. For now, if you turn on the Course Line to highlight your current course over the ground, it becomes pretty easy to estimate a 10 deg return to your route line. I understand if you're used to using an HSI, this is not as elegant.

Thanks!
Walter

Allen,

In the meantime, you can also set the "Course Tape & Ball" instrument size to large using the "Customize Instruments". It makes it much more visible and if you select color, it will also change it from semi-transparent to a white background. I have mine set to large and transparent and have found it has much better visibility for me. As Walter said, an HSI is coming, but maybe this will help in the meantime.

Glad you are enjoying your iFly 700.

Hmm. I just tried to do this in v5.14, and I got an unhandled exception error, and the tape disappeared. (I then hit "Cancel", and the tape reappeared when it went back to the navigation screen.)

I was able to reproduce this. Seems we have a bug, but there seems to be a simple workaround. If you reboot then go straight to the customize instruments form and make the change, it is working for me. We'll get this corrected in the next release.

Thanks!

Walter
