New owner here (purchased used from someone who was no longer using his).

Just downloaded and installed latest application software (v5.14), and latest sectionals for my area (San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, and Memphis). Or at least I think I did. How can I check to see which sectionals are currently installed, and what version they are?

Home base is on the Houston Terminal Area Chart, and that shows up by default. However, I cannot figure out how to make adjacent sectionals appear. For instance, I create a flight plan to a destination on the San Antonio sectional. The magenta line goes off the Houston section into light blue space. I try to tap in the light blue space to make the San Antonio sectional appear. Instead of getting the sectional, I get a small window with lat/long and and Options button. Options menu does not include a choice for "bring this sectional to foreground".

Press-and-hold just goes straight to the options menu. Double-tap just gets the lat/long window.

I also just realized that I can't seem to toggle between the Houston TAC and the Houston sectional. I don't see a "Switch maps" button like the manual describes.

This seems like the behavior I would expect if only the Houston TAC were installed. However, that's not what I think I did (again...how would I confirm that?).

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,

Jim

Sigh.... Guess I just needed to set it down for a minute and come back to it!

Just realized my problem was that I didn't understand how the maps worked. Found the options under the "Mode" button to change between different types of maps. Selected "Sectional Charts", and all is good now.

I doubt anyone else will trip over that, but I'll leave this post here for their benefit, just in case.

Jim

Aha! Many thanks, Ed--exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate the pointer!
