All of those are correct - you're getting GPS reception from your ADS/B receiver, but can't get any info bc you're out of range of a tower.

Don,

Ref. you not seeing the warnings...do you select these boxes when you set up your custom panel on the screen?

I was able to "select" those from the fabulous iFly menu and have them right up front so I can assess and evaluate the fidelity of the signal, and thus the information. (Thanks for giving us so many options, iFly!)

I consider those among some of the most important data boxes I place on the panel.

Mike maybe I mis-stated (or overstated) what I hadn't seen.  It was only "TOWER IDLE" and that was probably just  beause I didn't notice it. I usually use two iFlys in flight, a 740 and an iPhone,, and both of them usually display the ADSB and the GPS instruments. I agree that they're important. And of course I appreciate iFl's many options, too.

Brolin,

No, I was at 4,500+ feet.

If you look at the above photo, the other data in the boxes I selected to be on the screen will show where I was.

There are still some "dead zones" in the remote areas I sometimes fly where we KNOW the adsb will drop off a bit.
