Just recieved this....

It has been two months since we were able to announce that tailBeacon received its TSO certification from the FAA. As many of you know, the next step in the certification process was achieving the initial Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) which permits installation on your aircraft. Even though the tailBeacon is nearly identical to skyBeacon, the FAA has a duty to thoroughly evaluate the system to ensure it performs as intended on the aircraft.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that the tailBeacon received its STC! This evaluation took longer than we hoped, but we are happy to have delivered on our promise.

Also in the e-mail was this statement concerning the FAA ADS-B rebate....

FAA Rebates

We know that some of you have reserved the FAA $500 ADS-B rebates with the intention of installing tailBeacon. We also know that due to the timing delay, your rebates are expiring or have already done so. We are truly sorry for this unfortunate scenario. If you have found yourself in this situation, please contact our customer service team with both proof of order of tailBeacon and proof of the FAA rebate expiration for a limited time manufacturer’s rebate via email: rebates@uavionix.com.

This will not aply to me as I already got the rebate for another plane. But my Grumman is waiting for the install. iFly, start shipping!

I see in other foruims that folks have alreay started to recieve their TailBeacons (a couple of folks have said they arived on Monday). Can someone from iFly speak to when those of us who ordered through here should see shipments start?

I recieved my TailBeacon today. Got it wired up, so I powered it up configured it. So far so good. I decieded I need to do more repairs to the plastic tailcone (now 43 years old), and I have to wait till my A/I can get to the paperwork.

Flew my flight test today, the FAA report came back with no issues.
