I was holding over the airport breaking in a new overhaul when I saw this.

I see high speed traffic over 1200 knots like this fairly often, and it always seems to correspond to T-6 or T-38 traffic from the Air Force base.  I'm pretty sure nobody's going Mach 2 at 3,000 feet around here.  I can only guess about what's going on, but I would have to say ADS-B rebroadcast of non-equipped/transponder only traffic is getting corrupted somehow.  This was on a 740b, but I also get on Android.

Anyone know the real answer?

Aliens!  But don't tell anyone, it's a secret.

Mike, I posted some similar photos here in the photo section....had a two-ship zooming by me one day and captured it as well.

I later found out I was near a military exerecise, so it stood to reason that aircraft  - manned or not -  were zipping by at "warp speed."

For me, I was near the P-40 (prohibited area) near DC, usually the POTUS area (rarely used).

It is strange seeing the little triagles ZOOM across the screen as everything else seems to crawl...
