I have a Microsoft Go and am attempting to split the screen between iFlyGPS and another application. When I split between, say, Edge and Notepad, all works fine. When I try to split with say Edge and iFlyGPS, iFlyGPS always goes into full screen mode.

Can I split the screen between another app and iFlyGPS?

I'm curious how you are trying to accomplish the split-screen usage.  Are you just grabbing the window frame and dragging it to the side of the window, taking advantage of Windows' feature where it will automatically size that window to fill half of the screen and then prompt you to select a second app to take the other half?  Or are you using some other method?

Regardless of how you're doing it, your technique will probably only work with apps that run inside windows.  iFly does not--it is exclusively a full-screen app.

You can, of course, use Alt-tab to swap between iFly and other apps on a Windows device.  Depending on what you're trying to do, briefly overlaying a separate app window on top of iFly in the background may be an acceptable workaround.

Yes, I am using the drag window title to left side, then choose Edge as the first, for example, and iFlyGPS as the second.

I am running on a Windows Surface 2 Go, detached, so no keyboard at the time.

Yes, since iFly does not run in a window (notice it does not have a typical window frame around it), that method won't work with it.

I'm sure you already know this, but instead of using "Alt-tab", you can "swipe-in" from the left side of the screen to access other running apps and bring them to the foreground temporarily.  You could then adjust the size and location of that foreground window so that part of the iFly screen is visible behind it.  That's about the only workaround I can think of.
