Don't use ADS-B will flying in simulator mode.

The ADS-B device is feeding iFly GPS with actual data which is not what you need when flying the simulator. Also, the ADS-B devices is only totally correct and reliable when airborne and receiving a ground station, not sitting in your living room.

Thats' known, in the programmers world, as a design flaw, aka implementation oversight.

Not if there is no intention for someone to use ADS-B with the simulation. The ADS-B device sends actual location, GPS altitude, and pressure altitude to iFly GPS. None of this information is used by the simulation and would all be incorrect. The obvious solution is to disconnect from your ADS-B device or turn it off. I don't think Adventure Pilot needs to waste programming time trying to disable this for the simulation mode, but maybe they disagree.
