Wish I could take a screenshot while iFly is running so I could post it here.
Observed several puzzling things while "flying" a flight plan in sim mode.
1) I can't add any instruments on the HITS side,
2) on the sectional side: flight plan is set to 6500 foot elevation --- ground is actually about 5000 ft MSL, a) GPS elevation shows 6500, and that shows b) height agl is 6,002, and c) no instrument that I could find shows pitot/static elevation
3) back on the HITS side, while at GPS elevation of 6500, a) the HITS boxes are off by nearly 300 feet too low, b) having to constantly fiddle with XTE and climb rate to stay in the center of the little box, and c) have no clue what that strip is on the right hand side of the HITS is, labeled IND ALT and reads 903 while GPS ALT is 6500.
4) Can find no way to toggle airspeed strip on the left to mph versus kts per hour.
IMPORTANT: How is the autopilot (NMEA output) going to correspond to what I'm seeing on the HITS side? I need to set a machine to capture that serial port output to determine, I guess, but that's kinda hard in my physical setup.
