Then you only need to enable Location and Storage permissions.

What happens with android tablets that are not cellular capable?

This setting still exists for non-cellular tablets, and needs to be enabled for iFly to do licensing.

For the next build, I've already updated the message box text to tell users how to enable this, in case they answered the prompt as "do not ask me again".

Wouldn't it be better if the initial message stated, in no uncertain terms, that phone (and whatever else) access is NECESSARY in order to use the app.?  If the user selects ""No" the app returns a message that it is unable to continue, and shut the app down.  If the app is started again, the process starts all over.  It might be nice if you also included in the message a statement that the provided information will not be used for anything other than the immediate use of iFly, and will never be given, sold, or otherwise provided to any other entities.

Mike, excellent ideas, thanks for posting.

I am having the same issue.  I uninstalled and re-installed the app on my Android phone, and allowed the requested permissions.  But the app will still not open.

Thankfully I don't NEED use of it immediately or I would be very upset.

What now?

Wow, this just started happening this evening, like a timed event from the PlayStore.  It appears to impact EVERY Android Device running the new version 11.0.50.  I think it has to do with the new requirement to access "Phone State".

In response, I just now released 11.0.57 to the PlayStore, which does not require "Phone State" access, and seems to fix this Lock-out for all who have tested it.

Please get this latest 11.0.57 Release from the PlayStore ASAP, and it should restore functionality for you.
(You'll know it's 11.0.57 if you check "What's New" and is shows "Last Updated, Dec 30th".)

As the PlayStore takes a while to rollout to everyone, it might not show up for you in the PlayStore until tomorrow morning (Dec 31st).

If you are in a big hurry, you can instead get this new release from our website.
