I've been flying w/ FltPlan GO on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (Android 7.0) for a year or so and it works fine, but they've been promising to support AHRS on Android for years (currently, they only offer that on iDevices) and haven't kept that promise and I'm getting tired of waiting. Sooo.. downloaded a trial version of iFly and have been getting up to speed on it today. Looks promising, and no issues getting GPS and AHRS data from my Stratux.. so far so good. However, I can't get the small box in the center of the map that says "SHOW EFIS" (and has a miniature depiction of the synthetic terrain as a background) to go away. Tapping on that box shows the EFIS and Map split screen view, which is great, but tapping the EFIS side and selecting "Hide EFIS" returns to map view... with that dang miniature "SHOW EFIS" box center screen, right where the airplane would be. The "3D EFIS" box on the Map Mode screen is unchecked.. tried that. ...
OH, nevermind... just figured it out.. I'll post the answer in case someone else ever has the same issue. It's on the "Inst Group" button... customize.. highlight... move or delete as you wish. I deleted the part with the miniature synthetic terrain, but kept a tiny "Show EFIS" button at the bottom of my screen next to the profile view window. Done.
Sorry. What a lame introduction. Hello, everyone! Will most likely switch to this after a few test flights.
