Been running IFly on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 for close to 200 hours this past year and love the multi tasking note feature. Home base is KDVT located under the Phoenix Class B shelf and it's a communication  fire fight on busy days/hours. I have a note ready listing all the frequencies necessary for opening a flight plan, Phoenix approach, Phoenix departure, flight follwing and weather if time allows. With the removal of the stylus the note is overlaid on the chart ready for communication as soon as I am clearted for a freq. change. When transitioning Class B the controller info can be jotted down for read back (squak, altitude, heading, transition and altimeter setting). Once cleared into Class B and on transition just tap the note area and the note disappears. Nice to have the note overlay feature of the Samsung Note.

Is the 10.1 too big?  How do you mount it?  Sorry, doing some tablet shopping myself and it seems that 10.1 might be in the way.  Please enlighten me.

For smaller confined cockpits the Samsung Gallext Note 8.0 would be better suited. It still will have the note option. I use it mounted to a knee board which allows a good angle  to make notes. Occasional I Ram mount the smaller Note 8 to the co-pilot yoke or S5 phone suction cup mounted to the lower left wind screen. I am cautious never to obstruct the six pack.

What kneeboard clip do you use for your tablet?
