Suggestions:

1. Did my flight planning in the hotel. At the airport during runup checklist items, I tapped the 'flight plan' button on iFly to get the waypoints to enter into my GPS. The airport 3 letter designators were listed along with the name, but the VOR designators were not, just the long name of the VOR. So I had to go back to the map and zoom in to get the 3 letter designator.

- Add 3 letter VOR designator to flight plan

2. During flight, requested an IFR clearance to destination. Controller asked for my location. I was taught to give the controller my location relative to the nearest VOR (radial and distance). I tapped "NRST", but could not find a way to find the nearest VOR. Went to map and panned around to findest nearest VOR and gave him 'approximate' radial and distance.

- Add VOR's to 'one tap' "NRST" search

To keep things in perspective, these are minor items but would be nice to have.

3. Ground planning weather. The weather map needs to have layers containing: airmets, sigmets, convection, icing, winds, prog charts, TAF, area forcast, metars, radar and satellite. I know this is a big list. My wife is the guiding light here. She wants one place to go to do flight planning, moving map and weather. She wants to learn one program that has it all. She doesn't want to get on the big computer and use 2 other programs to get the job done. She is IFR rated.

I have flown with the Garmin Pilot, Avilution FlightPro, AvNav EFB and Naviator. I find IFly to be the most straight forward and logical of the bunch. I am looking forward to the improvements in the weather (on the ground planning). The ADS-B weather is conundrum. It's free but it is limited. If you are slow and low, ADS-B weather may satisfy all your needs. But if you take long trips, you will want to keep track of the weather at your destination which could be over 500-1000 miles away. My recent flying with a friend using an iPad with ADS-B showed severe deficiencies in radar and metars: the radar was 'not available' more than 400-500 miles away and the metars at smaller airports were also not avialable. With that in mind, I'm looking for an XM weather capable application. I'm sure that makes for more work for a smaller market, but my vote is to include a connection the an XM weather capable box.

Thanks for listening.

Steve
