Jim:

I use IFLY for Android on my galaxy note 3 and with the 5.5" screen it works just fine. I have direct sunlight that comes in from the top of my cockpit and I can see it just fine.

The developer has increased the size of the instrument boxes so what used to be hard to read is now easy.

Verizon offered me a 7" tablet for "free" but for 10 bucks extra a month. It worked OK but had other issues so I rejected it.

My Note 3 goes on my knee board and has served well for almost a year.

I don't see the need for a tablet since what I have is working OK.

One advantage I see for the 720 is that I keep mine in my aircraft and keep it updated with a pair of 16GB SD cards. I use my Nexus 7 and HTC phone as planning devices and as a back up to the 720.

I have heard that the guys at iFly are working on a way to plan on the Android / I device and transfer this information to the 720 something I think would really bring the multi device use full circle.

Jim, did you say you had a home made device for your 7? I am still trying to decide which clamp style to use to mount my 7 to the right yoke.
