I fly with ifly on an 8" Lenovo tablet. I've only had it 1.5 yr, but its still running Android 7, so it must've been an older model when I bought it. Every 2-3 months, ifly will load the splash screen and then crash. When this happens, no amount of tablet rebooting or app restarting will solve it. The only way I have been able to fix it is by uninstalling the app, reinstalling, and redownloading all the charts, which on my internet takes a couple days. Thankfully it hasn't happened in the airplane. Yet.
Has anyone else had this? Or know of a workaround? Maybe it's time for a new tablet? My 10" Samsung i do most of my planning on doesn't have this problem.
