While in flight my map will go away and will show many boxes  saying "No internet available."  I tried running the simulator on the ground with wifi turned off to simulate and it does not do this.  It does not do it on every flight, and it does not seem to be at a certain time in flight.  I have iFly version 11.0.74 and OS 5.1.1.  Any thoughts?

Have you made sure you downloaded the charts you're using?

I did.  I will try downloading a wider area next time, just in case.  Thanks.

IIRC, the issue is that our "streaming" works great when online, and gives you the feeling that data is "there".  But when you go offline, the data streamed in previously is no longer accessible.   This is a bug, and only impacts the raster charts.   The other streamed data should work just fine.    The reason has to do with the streaming format;  for the raster charts, we don't stream it down in the same format as what you get when downloading it.

The solution should be to simply make sure you have downloaded data for all areas you want to see while in-flight.   Please let us know if after downloading the data if it still shows you the "no internet" warning tiles.
