But, for the sake of clarity, my iPad Mini 4 works perfectly with iFly GPS and my Stratux and my Surface Pro 4.

Don, I've had a Tab S2 for several years and have been very happy with its performance and brightness. I have another device with a 10" screen and now prefer that form factor (these old eyes...), but neither its display quality nor its performance are as good as the S2's. It should serve you well for some time.
