Is there a way to download the flight history file without rooting my tablet?

On Windows machines, flight trails are stored in C:\_iFlyGPS_Data\User\#FlightTrails (your drive letter may be different).

On Android, it's [internal or external storage] /data/iFlyGPS/files/iFly/#FlightLogs   No rooting necessary

CrApple doesn't allow mere mortals to easily access files, so I'm not sure how it's done on them.

Jeff is correct here.

If you want to see flight trails from your iOS device, then do this:

1. On iOS device, do:  Menu => Setup => Sync Devices => "Upload files to server..." = > check "flight trails" then "Upload".
2. Then install iFly to Windows/PC - and select  "Menu => Setup => Sync Devices => select your iOS device name => select "Flight Trails" then "Download"

This'll import your Flight Trails from iOS to Windows.  And from Windows, you can find all of the data as stated by Jeff Clark above.

And if you want to see your flight trail traced across the ground i Google Earth, you have to use a file converter, like GPSConverter.  At least I think that was the name of it and I used it only a few hours ago.  Sheesh.  It's kinda cool to see an earth view of where you flew, but it is an extra step.

Bringing this back to the top...

Has there been any thought given to s simple export, perhaps using the operating system's share capability?  For example, a number of pilots and instructors use Cloud Ahoy to debrief flights. Yes, one can always have yet another app running, but it seems much simpler to be able to eport the data and have Cloud Ahoy import it, as it does with some other EFBs.
