How to delay updates?

Like most iFlyer's I've been anxiously awaiting the latest update to v9 - but here's a twist: We're just about to depart on a long (for us anyway) cross country from NC to UT. As much as I'd like to have the latest version of IFly, I'd rather not try to deal with the upgrade during our journey.

So is it possible to block an update until such time that I can explore the new version?

Note also that the beta testing for v9 on Android/iOS has not yet begun; the focus of the beta right now is on the software for the proprietary hardware (700, 720, 740).
