Doing the 30 day eval on a no Name Generic Android tablet before deciding whether to add the device onto my subscription to use as my backup GPS.
Problem: Weather and Vector screens have no information on them. No airports. No airspace data. No terrain. Nothing other than course plot and aircraft Icon. Screens using charts (sectional, WAC, etc) appear to work normally.
Device connects to my Skyguard TWX via WiFi and is using the ADS-B WAAS GPS on the SkyGuard for nav information. But it isn't displaying any weather information (radar, METAR, TAF, wind), even though my iFly 720 is getting the data running in parallel with both connected to the SkyGuard via WiFi.
The Android did not appear to show traffic information from the Skyguard, although there wasn't enough traffic around for me to test properly during my flight test yesterday.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
