I have a the tablet above, and have installed iFly on it. I found an article that says to copy the iFly app from "memory" to the micro sd card to run it from the sd card. I can find an iFly folder under "tablet/android/data/ifly.gps" but there are no files listed. When I attempt to create a new folder on the sd card under "card/android/data/" I cannot name it. Insists on being "New Folder". Nor can I copy the folder from internal to sd (using Windows 8.1). I have a new sim card with iFly and Streets that I want to install on my tablet. I can't find much in the way of instructions aside from the aforementioned, and I get a pointer to some help? thanks Bill

Bill,

You should be able to open the Check for Updates option in the Menu. Then touch Advanced, and set the Storage to External SD Card. It will likely prompt you that it will re-launch the App, and you should see some text indicating that it is "Transferring Data". We added this External Storage option several releases ago. The App, I believe must stay on the internal, but all the Data and Chart can be stored on the external storage. You should not have to manually create these folders anymore. I hope this helps.

Thank you, Shane. I followed the steps you outlined, and indeed I now have external storage (extSdCard/) as the location. I did not see a "transferring data" notation, nor did the ap restart. A view of the micro sd card contents does not show a folder for iFly. manually restarting the ap doesn't appear to have changed anything. How can I copy the files on the sim card I bought with Streets to the micro sd card? Assuming I guess that a folder for iFly eventually shows up. thanks again, Bill

After your selected the External SD card, did you confirm it is the same size as the Micro SD card you have in the tablet. Many Android tablets also have a external stroage that can be deceiving, but the size will be different so that is a tell tell sign.

You might also try to select the External SD card and then touch the Download or Update button at the lower screen. If this does not work, then I'll have to bring Brian into this as I'm stumped as to why you are not seeing the files on the External SD card.

Oh, man. Where did I miss the note to duplicate the size of the sd card? I have a 16GB upgrade sd card (this is what you're referring to as the external, right?) from iFly, but got a 32GB micro sd card for the tablet, so I could store more stuff. Bad move it sounds like. I did do a force update after selecting the micro sd card. How could I go about copying the files from the sd card to the tablet? Is that possible? Thanks for you patience Shane.
