I am wondering how the IFly (doesn't matter whether it's dedicated, tablet, or smartphone) is used for flight planning. Do you use another program/app?
Thanks for the input.

Charlie,
The iFly had many flight planning features. Most of our pilots will create the plans directly on the tablet they are using in flight; simple flights are very easy just a touch of the map, or entering a couple of airport codes. Complex IFR plans require more steps, selecting approaches and such and entering those waypoints. The Flight Plan button can be used to view details of the plan, distances, ETE, etc, and that form has some advanced features for finding intersecting airspaces and terrain, setting altitudes, etc.
The Flight Plan form also let's you file your plan with Lockheed Martin flight services.
Coming very soon is a Fuel Price feature which will help you plan fuel stops. And we have some sweet features on the books for IFR flights too, to aid initial creation of the plan, and to help when your clearance readback is totally new & different.
