Here's a picture of my new RAM mount in the C162. With the traffic display, I wanted to get this up more in my line of sight.

I don't feel that the 162 has good visibility to start with. Can you see around it OK like that?
Looks like you could go lower wtih the mounting and still clear the stick OK...
It's perfect where it is. It's well below line of sight out the windscreen. You would need a different setup to put is lower because the RAM mount arm is horizontal just on top of the glare shield. The Nexus 7 looks much bigger in the picture because it's closer to the camera.
