Hi Guys,

Just went to the Add-on upgrade for my Android. It looks like when we were on the 30 day trial, we had plates, low enroute and all. Seems that going to the Subscription mode removes that unless your base subscription has the IFR.

So, if this is purchased one year, and not the other, (as I was up till this year), would I retain all the plates I had? Because truth be told, I had the IFR subscription last year on my 700, but opted out this year.

On an iFly device, the IFR data would be retained on the device storage, just not updated. This is because it is an industry portable GPS standard and a sizeable hardware investment has been made from iFly GPS.

However on the App, licensing is based on current subscription, VFR or IFR. Basically, if you do not renew your subscription, the app goes into 5-Minute evaluation mode. If you downgrade your subscription from IFR to VFR, the IFR data goes away.

Thanks Shane, I figured that was the protocol... I noticed that when I started up after purchasing the Upgrade, that it did go out and reload the data. And, after working with Brian over the past few months, we fixed it so it didn't duplicate any data... All Good!

I now have it on my 700, Android DNA phone, and a Nuxus 7 my wife got from work... She can now play while we fly.. (Maybe she'll stay awake now that she has something to do while we fly)
