Glen,

We have not tested on the Kindle Fire. Does your Kindle have access to the Play Store? Walter and I were talking about this just earlier. Maybe having a downloadable package for those tablets that cannot access the Play Store or don't run the basic Android 4.0. Stay tuned as this might come to light this Spring. Good question by the way.

I have a Coby tablet with Android 4.0 that cannot access the Play Store. Although I'm signed up as a beta tester, I haven't been able to help because you don't provide access to the package except through the Play Store.

No, there is no access to google play store from any Kindle that I'm aware of. The way around that is for you to have a downloadable apk. file available on your website.

Our plan is to support Kindle and any other suitable android device which may not have access to the Play Store. Our tentative plan is to provide a web download, just as Glenn has suggested.

IFly demands OS 4.0.x or higher, and a relatively new devices (2 yrs or less, typically), and a few GB's of space, to hold a subset of our Data (500MB to 10GB range depending upon the data you download).

In the meantime, if you don't have access to Google's Play Store, and want to try out 8.1.25b, please send me an email, and I'll send you a copy of the APK. brian@adventurepilot.com
