My Ipad Mini 2, running IOS 12 will connect to the wireless signal from the stratus but doesn't receive and data from it. Can anyone provide some insight.  Thank you in advance.

In your iPad mini settings, check that your Location Services is enabled for iflygps.    Go to Settings>Privacy>Location Services.   A list of apps should then appear with options for each.

Let us know if this solves the problem.

What model stratus? Do you have local area network permissions? Location services isn't applicable in this case.

Early model Stratus - when they had a partnership with Foreflight only worked with Foreflight. Post-breakup Strus works with others.

this also answers your Sentry question. It's a Foreflight product and is designed to only work with that EFB.

I have the Stratus3 and a 740.  I don't know how Stratus reacts to iFly on an iOS device, but with the 740 you have to use the Appareo Horizon Pro app and set the "Open ADSB" switch "ON".  IF the switch isn't ON, the iFly shows a connection, but will not display any data.

If you have ForeFlight, ony one program (ForeFlight OR iFly) can use the Stratus3 at a time.
