Hello folks,

Recently, an artificial horizon instrument started appearing on my navigation page.  I do not have AHRS with my ADS-B so this instrument is not necessary, moreover, it does not show upright and I get an alarm which I need to mute.  I do not know how to remove that instrument.  I went to the "Inst Group" tab but could not see an option to remove it.  I emailed Adventure Pilot support and they never came back with an answer.  Years ago, they had good customer service but that has seen to have gone down the tubes.  Does anyone on this forum know how to remove that instrument?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If it's what I think it is, and it shows up and stays up all the time, you can drag it (almost) all the way off the screen.  I think there's an option to mute it.  However if it comes and goes, then you'll have to drag it off each time it alarms.  When you drag it off, it only stays there until the "error" no longer exists, when a new error occurs, it will pop up in the same place you're likely seeing it now.

The short answer is, I don't know how, or if there's a way to prevent it from ever showing up.  I also don't know why it would be showing up if you're not gettting aircraft AHRS information from your ADSB device.

Menu > Setup > Alerts & Warnings > AHRS Alerts

Set Pitch Threshold to Disabled.  Ditto with Roll Threshold.

Hi Sean, just searched our inboxes and we've never received a support request from you. Follow Hook's instructions to get rid of the AHRS alert. Any future support questions should go to support@adventurepilot.com
