Wade,

The Stratus 2 is encrypted and exclusive to ForeFlight and the iPad. We've patched the Gen1 startus, but they took extra strides to keep people out with the Gen2, so we elected to not devote resourses to chasing their device. We support a much more open design model, basically a BYOD, "Bring Your Own Device" when it comes to tablets and ASD-B.

Have you tried these steps. I've tested with the Dual 170, iPad, iPad Mini, and several android devices. It even works with the latest iOS 8.3 on iPhone and iPad.

1. Open iFly GPS App and set connected device to Dual XGPS, then force close iFly GPS App.
2. Set switch on Dual to Apple. Make sure power switch is set to ADS-B.
3. Pair the Dual170 and iPad using device Bluetooth settings. Watch for “Connected”.
4. Open iFly GPS, wait 10 seconds and go to “Connected Devices”, you should see the heartbeats counting up.

Kinda an old post ... but if anyone is still curious ... the iLevil 2 SW provides full ADS-B "IN" support to iFly running on an IPad Air 2 (10"). The ADS-B weather is pretty neat

But with only ADS-B in you are not seeing most of the traffic except when intercepting a ground signal being sent to a nearby ADS-B out aircraft.

Please, Please! Do not rely on traffic reported by an "IN" only system. "Some" traffic is worse than "no" traffic. Too many people are falling for vendor claims of "traffic and weather" for their "in" only systems.

(Sorry, rant day!)
