Arriving at my home base airport this morning 9/9/22, My I Fly GPS put up a target moving west from the East out of KICT. Monitoring air traffiic frequency there were 2 other targets that were correct on the screen. The target in the picture was a false one. Not sure why it paints a false target but it seems to do that if I am under 1000 feet AGL in traffic pattern. When I landed I checked on the target N1591V and found the last known flight of this aircraft was on 9/7/22 and it did not fly anywhere near my home airport, SN61. I verified the aircraft was not currently flying at the time I was airborne. I currently have the Astro Link GPS/ADS-B Reciver installed.
Not sure if anyone has been experiencing this but it scares the hell out of me when a target is painted coming out of the class c airspace assuming its under air traffic control and find out its a false one.
